Maternity Pictures

Here are a few of our maternity pictures before Elizabeth was born. They were taken at Happy Jack just outside of Laramie. Honey Bee Photography (http://honeybeeshutter.com/) took our pictures. Faith was so nice and she made the shoot so much fun. The boys had a blast and they actually behaved very well.

Elizabeth Lily

Not much more happening here, my parents are visiting and helping out with the kids. I am getting to sleep in which is totally spoiling me. Elizabeth is growing like crazy, she gained 6 oz last week which means she is already bigger than her sister was at this age. I got so many cute gifts from family members. Her aunt Kayleen made her these super cute onsies, can't wait till she fits them. The kids still love her and she is sleeping pretty well. She does have this horrendous cry that is so loud. I hope she outgrows that soon. But The Lord is good and we are doing really well.

Guess who decided to grace us with her presence

Wow the Lord is good. After much waiting (8 days) Elizbeth Lily Netzley finally decided to grace us with her presence. I must say that the Lord has his own timing and it is perfect according to his will. My mother-in-law came out to help for the birth and was scheduled to leave the 21st, baby girl was born at 10pm on the night of the 20th. We decided to have a home birth with this baby and The Lord allowed us to have one. It was very intense but God gave me strength. Active labor was only 4 hours and my midwife arrived just in time to deliver the baby. We didn't even have time to fill up the tub.
The kids love her and keep asking to hold her. Even Naomi just looks at her and laughs, which is great because I thought she would be super jealous. I just pray it continues this way. My mom and dad will be coming out on Monday to help with the kids and see the baby which will be nice because I am on my own until then. We met this super nice family at church who has been such a blessing. They watched the kids while I had Elizabeth and then came over the next day just to hang out and distract my kiddos while I rested and my midwife checked on me and baby. We are doing well and just trying to get settled Into a routine. Prayers for rest and adjustment would be great.

Waiting not so patiently

Well we are 39 weeks pregnant now. And my midwife is back from vacation so we can get this show on the road any day now. I am not doing much these days except trying to sleep, eat and get the house ready. I am not sure if most of you know but I am planning on having a home birth, Lord willing, and that is why the tub is there. I am really excited to be able to stay at home and not have to travel to the hospital. With the last three kids I have been at least 7 days late so I am not expecting an early delivery but I can be hopeful I guess. My mother in law will be here the 9th so I guess it would be good to wait until then. Birth tub

Happy Jack camping trip

This past weekend Thomas decided he wanted to go camping for his birthday. So we packed up the motorhome, drove about 30 minutes and found a cool place to park and camp for a few days. We left when it was getting dark so we kind of guessed if it was a good spot, it was ok but ended up moving in the morning to a spot with a makeshift campfire pit and a much better view.

It was super windy and the kids were bundled up the whole time, and me too. The first night we were there I thought the motorhome was going to blow away. The kids slept pretty well though, but being 8 months pregnant I could have used a softer mattress :).

The second day some of Thomas' classmates joined us and we did a BBQ with tri tip and corn and then of course we set off a bunch of fireworks, which would all be illegal in California. Made me super nervous but he had a lot of fun. Oh yeah and we also got s'mores (yummy). I was kind of surprised at how much fun the kids had too, especially with how cold and windy it was. But what kid wouldn't like fire and chocolate?

Monster truck show

Ok so people tell you how loud monster truck shows are but until you go to one you really have no idea. We attempted to attend this show when my parents were in town but got rained out, which was ok because they rescheduled for a much better time for my kiddos. However I was totally unprepared for the noise level.

The trucks were awesome and the little shows in between were cool too. But we got these horrible ear plugs for the kids that kept falling out and the minute a monster truck would go Naomi would start crying, she looked miserable the whole time. James asked to go home twice and Seth had a stoic look on his face the entire time. I thought it was really cool and after the show Seth made a point to tell daddy "he had a lot of fun" so I guess it was successful but if we ever go to another one I am bringing way better ear protection.

Having fun with grandma and grandpa

Wow what a week we had. I think the kids tired my parents out. I think they will need a vacation from their vacation. It was a lot of fun though. The minute they got here James would not leave them alone, he was attached to them. Thomas had school so we pretty much hung out and walked the town. Thomas hates tai food so we went to the restaurant here and I must say for Wyoming it was pretty good. We also got to check out the craft stores. The kids had a blast at a few of our parks and we took them to see the big train.

On Saturday we took a drive to Cheyenne and went to an awesome park, a huge western store and the best restaurant we have ever been to. It's called steamboat and everything we ordered was AMAZING, that is not an exaggeration. Needless to say we will be going back there. But before we ate the kids were almost passed out on grandma and grandpa, as you can see in the pictures below. It was a long but fun day. They left Sunday and the kids took it much better than I thought they would, but knowing they will be back soon helped too.
